I'm Don Moi
I’m a lifelong fan, an artist, and a believer in the power of rock & roll to shape who we are. Music Is Life is my tribute to the albums, artists, and anthems that helped me find meaning, make bold moves, and connect across generations. This project blends memoir, music history, and personal reflection—created to honor the spirit of rock and the fans who keep it alive.
My Story
Don Moi is the creative alter ego of Moisés Noreña—a storyteller with rock in his bloodstream, a visual artist, a lifelong innovator, and a deeply feeling human who somehow climbed the ranks of corporate America without ever turning down the volume on his true passions.
Born in Mexico City and now proudly based in Cleveland, Moisés grew up decoding lyrics line by line, sketching in the margins of his homework, and dreaming of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame long before he knew where it was.
By day, he’s led product, growth, and innovation for global companies like IBM, Whirlpool, Allstate, Moen, and now MiTek (a Berkshire Hathaway company). He’s taught Innovation and Design Thinking at University of Notre Dame and helped shape products, services, teams, and ideas that have touched millions. Often the creative rebel in the room, Moisés has made a career out of pushing boundaries—with results. He's been recognized by leading business publications and is the author of "Innovation Architecture," a book that decodes the secrets of corporate innovation success.
By night—and often between meetings—he’s stayed true to his roots: painting, writing, and letting music guide the way. Whether as an architect, business executive, team leader, creative technologist, marketer, artist, hiker, data nerd, cook, professor, husband, or dad, he’s always followed one throughline: music and creativity aren’t side passions—they’re how we make sense of the world.
