HI! I'M MOISES
I was born in Mexico City and moved to the United States in 1999. For more than two decades, I built a career in corporate innovation — at Whirlpool, Moen, Allstate, and most recently MiTek, a Berkshire Hathaway company — working at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and change. But the thread running underneath all of it has always been the same: a deep need to make things, understand things, and tell the truth about them.
I trained as an architect. I spent years leading innovation teams. I paint. And now I paint, write, and tell stories.
My artistic persona, "Don Moi" — rhymes with "boy" — pays tribute to my grandfather, Moises De Luca Pecorelli, a man of love, integrity, and quiet excellence. He was known as Don Moi by everyone around him. I adopted the name to carry something of him forward.
I live in Cleveland with my wife Marilú. I am proud of my three kids who are starting their adult life independently. I paint in the basement and with groups in the city. I bike in the Metroparks. And I'm still asking the same questions I started asking as a kid.
